Preparing the Area
Moving a hot tub is not as difficult as you may think. Follow these easy steps and your hot tub will be in a new location in no time!
1) Make sure the power is off to the area where you are moving the hot tub.
2) Clear all obstructions from around the hot tub, including any furniture or plants that may be in the way.
3) Open up all of the drain holes on either side of the hot tub and allow the water to drain out.
4) Place a layer of cardboard between the bottom of the hot tub and the ground.
5) Place pallets or boards on top of the cardboard and weigh them down with heavy objects, such as rocks or large cans.
6) Dig a hole large enough to fit your hot tub into, ensuring that it is level and free from rocks and other debris.
7) Remove the hot tub from its base and place it into the hole. Make sure that it is positioned so that it is sitting upright and does not touch any exposed electrical wires or plumbing pipes.
8) Replace any dirt or soil that has been disturbed while moving the hot tub, if necessary.
Disconnecting the Hose
Are you looking to remove your hot tub but don’t know how? No problem – we’re here to help! In this guide, we will show you how to disconnect the hose from your hot tub and safely move it. First, make sure that your hot tub is properly drained. Next, unplug the power cord from the wall. Finally, remove the cover and hose assembly by unscrewing the four screws at the base of each pole. Be careful not to pinch or cut yourself while removing these screws. Once the cover and hose assembly are removed, place them on a sturdy surface so they do not fall apart. Make sure that all of the water lines and hoses are clear of any debris before beginning to disconnect them. The first step is to remove the water pump by unscrewing it from its housing. Then disconnect the three wires connected to it: black (hot), red (neutral) and white (ground). Once these wires are removed, pull out the pump by hand. Finally, remove the drain plug from the bottom of the hot tub. Once all of these items are out of the way, you can begin to disconnect the hose from its fittings. First, loosen each fitting with a wrench until it turns easily in either direction. Next, push on one end of the hose until it pops off of its fitting. Finally, discard each individual piece of hose after taking note of its location and replacing it if necessary
Lifting and Positioning the Tub
If you have a hot tub, then knowing how to move it is important – not only for the ease of getting it into your backyard or garage, but also for the safety of everyone in the area. Follow these easy steps to get your tub moving:
1. Call a tow truck! If you don’t have a truck big enough to lift and transport your spa, then you’ll need to call a tow truck. It will cost around $150 to have someone come and take your hot tub away, so unless you’re prepared to pay that price, it’s best to just leave it where it is.
2. Remove any obstructions! If there are trees or other objects in the way, they need to be removed before the hot tub can be moved. This includes anything that might fall on or damage the hot tub when being transported.
3. Clear all furniture and plants out of the way! Not only will this make moving the hot tub much easier, but it will prevent any accidents while loading/unloading.
4. Preparing the ground! Make sure there’s enough space next to where you want your new spa placed so that there’s room for both it and any debris that may come with shipping/moving it. Leveled ground is key if you want your new spa to arrive without any damage!
5. Get help from friends & family! Once everything is cleared away and prep work is done, enlist some help from
Securing the Tub to the Ground
Step 1: Remove the Ground Anchor
To begin, you’ll need to remove the ground anchor. Use a socket or wrench to loosen the screws that hold it in place. Once they’re loosened, use a pole or stick to pry the anchor free.
Step 2: Move the Tub onto Its Side
Next, move the tub onto its side. Make sure that it’s aligned with the hole in the ground and then use a strap to secure it in place. You can also use stakes or rocks to keep it from moving while you work.
Step 3: Lift Up on One End of the Tub
Now lift up on one end of the tub so that it’s positioned over the opening. Make sure that all of the bolts are tight before lowering down the other end and securing it in place using bolts and screws. Repeat this process for each end of the tub.
Removing the Cover
First, measure the overall dimensions of the tub with a tape measure. You’ll also need to know the height of the tub and where it will be located. Then, use these measurements to create a plan of attack.
1) Remove any screws that hold the cover on using a screwdriver. Be sure to remove all of them so you have enough clearance to work.
2) Carefully pull up on the cover until it pops off. It may help to put your weight on one side while pulling in order to keep it from moving too much once it’s off.
3) Once the cover is off, take a good look at how everything is hooked up and make any necessary repairs or adjustments before moving on to step 4.
4) Depending on how dirty the hot tub is, you may want to scrub it down with some soap and water before moving on. Make sure to rinse everything clean before putting everything back together!
Filling the Tub with Water
A hot tub can be a great addition to your home, providing relaxation and pleasure. However, if you don’t have the expertise or experience moving one yourself, it can be a daunting task. This guide will teach you how to move a hot tub in easy steps, complete with pictures and illustrations.
1. Figure out what type of tub you have. There are three main types of hot tubs: fiberglass, metal frame, and vinyl. Each has its own set of instructions for moving it.
2. Locate the cart or platform that is designed specifically for moving hot tubs. Not all carts are created equal – some are too small or too big for a standard-sized hot tub, while others are specially made for larger models. Search online or ask your local store how to find the right one for yourtub.
3. Clear any obstructions from in front of and behind the tub before beginning the move. These could include furniture, plants, cables TV cords, etcetera.
4. Remove any weights or objects from around the tub before loading it onto the cart or platform. This will help reduce stress on your equipment during transport.
5 . Place the base of the tub on the ground where you want it to go and line up both ends so they’re flush against each other . If your Tub has a skirt , position it so that it covers the entire bottom ofthe tub . Make sure there’s no excess fabric
Turning on the Pump
1. Make sure the power is off to your hot tub before moving it.
2. Locate the screws that attach the base of your hot tub to the ground. You’ll need a Phillips head screwdriver for this step.
3. Once you have located the screws, remove them by turning them counterclockwise with your screwdriver.
4. Next, release the hot tub’s lift handle and check to see if it’s weight-bearing in each direction – if not, putty or straps can be used to secure it while you move it.
5. If your hot tub is weight bearing, carefully shift it onto its side so that lifting handles are facing down and support beams are resting on top of each other (see photo). Note: The area around the drain should be clear so debris doesn’t block water flow during transport.
6. To move the hot tub upright again, gently press down on its sides and lift until handles are above beams again (see photo). Note: Be careful when pressing down on either side; too much pressure could cause damage to components.
7. Finally, replace screws in correct locations and reattach Lift Handle

Checking for Leaks
1. Be sure to shut off the power to the hot tub before beginning.
2. Remove any objects or debris in front of the hot tub that may get in the way of the moving process.
3. Clear a path around the hot tub by pushing or pulling against the sides if necessary.
4. Carefully place a large piece of cardboard beneath the hot tub and carefully lift it off of its base. Make sure to support the edges of the cardboard so it does not fall apart during transport.
5. Disconnect all hoses, wires, and tubes leading into and from the hot tub before moving it. Do not touch or ping any electrical components while transporting!
6. Position the hot tub on its new base and secure it in place with clamps, ropes, or straps. If necessary, use blocks or weights to increase stability.
7. Replace any items that were removed during transport, such as pillows or furniture, and turn on the power to the new hot tub
Putting Everything Back Together
